World Birth Defects Day 2019 Toolkit

13 February 2019

13 February 2019 // On March 3, 2019 we celebrate this year’s edition of the World Birth Defects Day (WBDD) with the theme “Many births defects, one voice”.

It is a day established four years ago by 12 organisations working on birth defects, including IF, aiming to raise awareness about the topic, but also to advocate for more research into the causes of birth defects and their prevention, monitoring and surveillance, and improvement in care. It is also an occasion to promote inclusion and active participation in society of children and adults born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus (SBH).

Everybody can make a small contribution to achieve these goals by sharing posts and tweets about the WBDD. We therefore created a special toolkit for this year’s WBDD, which will support you in making your voice and messages on birth defects heard.

In the WBDD 2019 toolkit we included different key messages, resources, and useful social media links that can be shared on March 3 in order to make it a ‘buzzday’.

The official hashtag of the day will be #WorldBDDay and we encourage you to use it for every content you post on social media related to the WBDD.

You can download the WBDD toolkit here.
