10.000 surgeries since 2011!

22 December 2017 // CURE Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida (CHSB) has performed more than 10.000 surgeries since 2011! CHSB has made an incredible effort to train and equip neurosurgeons in middle- and low income countries to perform life-saving surgeries for people with neural tube defects.

We are also very proud to congratulate Dr. Benjamin Warf, member of IF Global Experts Panel, for his dedication and work for the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus community. While serving as Medical Director at CURE Uganda, Dr. Benjamin Warf pioneered a “shunt-less” hydrocephalus treatment known as ETV/CPC, a surgery that avoids the risk and ongoing maintenance of shunt dependency and has transformed global practice in the treatment of infant hydrocephalus.

CHSB plans to increase its network of partners and continues to provide physical and psychological care to children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families. We really encourage you to read the whole article here.
