Successful 1st Euregional Youth Meeting organized by IF & Zonnebloem JONG

On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2024, the 1st Euregional Youth Meeting organized with Zonnebloem JONG took place in the province of Limburg in the Netherlands. This one-day event was a unique opportunity for young people with disabilities from Belgium, Germany, France, Poland and the Netherlands to literally cross borders to meet and exchange on the topic of independent living. 

International Youth Day 2024: Mental Health Matters!

On August 12 the IF International Youth Group SBH celebrated the UN recognised  International Youth Day. For this year, youth started with a social media campaign and extended an invitation to all young people with SBH around the globe to amplify the voices of the youth. A particular highlight was the zoom webinar dedicated to Mental Health Matters organised by and for youth with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus around the world.

The International Disability Alliance Youth Committee, together with the Equal World campaign and the Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities, created a 10-point action plan for a more inclusive future. From sustainable financing to tech innovation and global peace, these actions demand decision-makers' attention and action.

The upcoming 30th International Conference for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus will take place on October 24-26 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is an anniversary conference and a great opportunity for youth to be visible, meet other young people around the world, present the youth work on an international stage, interact with healthcare professionals, scientists, policymakers, and develop new networks.
