EU Member States Issue Landmark Declaration on Disability Awareness

Warsaw, 30 June 2025 – In a strong show of solidarity and commitment to the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, a Declaration supported by 25 EU Member States was prepared during the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

EU CRPD review: Stronger EU action required to advance disability rights

Held on 11–12 March 2025, the European Union (EU)’s review by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD Committee), was a crucial moment for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in Europe. The result of the review is an evaluation report known as the ‘Concluding Observations’.
