Several IF member associations have expressed interest in hosting the 32nd International Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Conference in the fall of 2028. If your organisation is chosen to host the IF conference 2028, the IF Board of Directors will work closely with you to ensure smooth planning of the conference. We need some information from you to ensure that we can make the best choice of a host.

Today, on Rotary's 120th anniversary, we are happy to launch the publication 'Service Clubs in Action for Spina Bifida: Prevention and Care'. This publication aims to explore our common vision of a fruitful future collaboration, building on the already existing strong partnerships between Service Clubs and people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SBH) and their families that go back decades.

During this year's World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day (WSBHD) on 25 October, we brought further awareness as to how we can bridge the gaps for our global SBH community. For the first time we were able to organise a meeting in a hybrid way with 350 participants from 30 countries attending our conference in Malaysia in person, and 32 joining our conference webinar online.

IF organised a 'Meet and Greet' meeting in May 2024 to facilitate a collaborative discussion between members of the IF International Youth Group SBH and the IF Working Group on Ageing with SBH.

On July 15, 2022, IF held an experience exchange and sharing webinar named ‘IF webinar Learning from Experience: Strategic Advocacy for Primary Prevention’. The webinar was an experience exchange and twinning opportunity for all IF members, in which representatives from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin-America and Europe who have advanced their national advocacy for primary prevention shared their key element of success, the process, lessons learned and advice for all participants.
