Join – IF’s webinar on ‘Women with Disabilities in Conflict and Crisis’

Description

The IF’s webinar on ‘Women with Disabilities in Conflict and Crisis’ will take place on April 21, 2023.

Women and girls with disabilities are ‘particularly vulnerable to discrimination, exploitation and violence, including gender-based violence, but they may have difficulty accessing support and services that could reduce their risk and vulnerability’ (Women’s Refugee Commission, 2014). What risks/vulnerabilities do women and girls with disabilities affected by conflict and crises face? What is the available evidence on interventions to support women and girls with disabilities affected by conflict/crises?

Following the focal points of the International Women’s Day on gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women, in this webinar women from around the world share their experiences on risks and best practice examples to reduce risks for women with disabilities.
