WSBHD Regional Side Event Africa | 22 October 2025

On October 22, 2025, the African region will come together to mark World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day (WSBHD25) through a dynamic Regional Side Event under the theme ‘Accelerate Action for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus’.

This regional gathering will spotlight the power of community engagement, innovation, and advocacy in advancing the prevention of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SBH) across Africa. It will provide a platform for diverse voices – from individuals with lived experience to national advocates and healthcare experts – to share their perspectives, progress, and priorities for action!

It offers a space for dialogue and collaboration among regional partners, aiming to build momentum for effective prevention, stronger healthcare systems, and inclusive societies.
