WELCOME TO HILDUR, IF’S NEW EUROPEAN POLICY OFFICER!

IF is happy to introduce its new staff member, Hildur Önnudóttir, to our members, Board, partners and friends. She joins our Brussels head office as our European Policy Officer!

With experience in the health and social care sector as well as in the policy area, Hildur will be the main liaison between IF national members and the EU institutions. She will focus on policy efforts to ensure that voices of persons with SBH are heard at European level.

Here’s Hildur’s own introduction:

”I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to use my personal, practical and policy experiences of disability and health policy to advance and advocate for the rights of people with SBH. I have a background in international relations and European politics as well as health policy, support services and advocacy. I look forward to getting to know the network and my fellow colleagues at IF. Before joining IF I worked as a policy assistant at a healthcare professionals’ association.”
