ReachAnother Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works with Ethiopian partners to prevent and treat neural tube defects (NTDs), such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus, in children. The foundation’s mission involves improving medical capacity through surgery and aftercare, educating at-risk populations about folic acid, and advocating for primary prevention measures like mandatory salt fortification in Ethiopia. It supports the creation of Centers of Excellence in Pediatric Neurosurgery and provides training and assistive devices to improve long-term outcomes for affected children.
