SBH Nederland is the association of people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus (SBH). It wants to provide objective information to people with SBH, their families, and to parents-to-be of children with SBH. The association will support them with their expertise through experience.

The Board members of SBH Nederland fully support the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to ensure full participation in society.

The association also advocates for a greater focus on ageing with SBH, not just in the medical field, but also with regard to housing, employment and social life. Once children with SBH reach adulthood, they should continue to have access to multidisciplinary care, which covers all aspects of health and well-being.

By sharing knowledge and experience about living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, together we increase our strength and capabilities.
