SPAIN (AMEB)

The Madrid Association of Spina Bifida (AMEB) was created in May 1976 to address the problems presented by the education and rehabilitation of children and young people affected by this disease. The main purpose of AMEB is to provide care for people with physical disabilities on risk situation of social exclusion. Also to provide support for people affected by Spina Bifida or Hydrocephalus, such as healthcare, educational assistance, or to improve their vocational training and professional integration, in order to make life easier for them and their families, so to defend the interests of its members.

AMEB fights for the improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families, so that they become citizens with full rights.
