This webinar was presented on Thursday 7th November 2024 by Prof. Ferdinand Dhombres (Armand Trousseau University Hospital, Sorbonne University, Paris, France) & Dr. Timothée de Saint-Denis (Trousseau and Necker Hospitals, Paris, France). The discussion was introduced and moderated by Prof. Giovanni Mosiello (Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, Rome, Italy).
The webinar introduces and explores the newly developed classification system for Spina Bifida and other spinal dysraphisms. It aims to provide a more precise and standardised approach to diagnosing and categorising these complex congenital conditions. During the session, participants are guided through the key elements of this classification, including the different types of spina bifida (such as spina bifida occulta and myelomeningocele). To enhance understanding and practical application, various case studies will are presented. These cases demonstrate how to accurately apply the new classification in clinical settings.
