Youth calls for your support!

The International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IF) is the international organisation representing people with SBH and their families worldwide. The mission of IF is to improve the quality of life of people with SBH and their families.

Together with the IF International Youth Group SBH different activities are put in place to advocate on topics relevant to the young community, such as independent living. Our dedication lies in ensuring our young members have ample opportunities to voice their opinions and be actively represented.

The upcoming 30th International Conference for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus will take place on October 24-26 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is an anniversary conference and a great opportunity for youth to be visible, meet other young people around the world, present the youth work on an international stage, interact with healthcare professionals, scientists, policymakers, and develop new networks.

However, youth face a significant obstacle: financial constraints.

• Due to their young age, they may not have well-paid jobs to travel abroad
• Due to their health conditions, they may incur more expenses, especially from low and middle-income countries
• Due to various life circumstances, they genuinely need financial aid to raise their voices
