Description
The Saudi Spina Bifida Support Group is a charity organisation of volunteers, established under the umbrella of the National Guard Health Affairs in collaboration with the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and the King Khalid University Hospital, and is made up of a group of families of those affected by Spina Bifida and cerebral palsy, and employees in the service of the various medical specialties and educational and social services.
The group aims to identify Spina Bifida and increase community awareness of this situation through the distribution of books and publications, and the establishment of public awareness days and awareness campaigns (Spina Bifida and the importance of folic acid), providing psychological and scientific and moral support for families, and providing consultancy needed to create multidisciplinary clinics for Spina Bifida.
