The Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Tanzania (ASBAHT) was founded in 2001 and became an official NGO in 2002. The vision of the association is to improve the quality of life of all persons with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus and their families. Its mission is to spread community awareness of SBH on primary prevention, early intervention and care, and to advocate and lobby for the right to social inclusion, education, vocational training and economic empowerment.
