IF Participates in the Inaugural Meeting of the WHO Disability Health Equity Network

19 November 2025

Health as an Enabler for Inclusion!
IF Participates in the Inaugural WHO Disability Health Equity Network

IF Secretary General, Dr Sylvia Roozen, joined the inaugural meeting of the WHO Disability Health Equity Network in Geneva, Switzerland. From 12 to 13 November, the 147 approved members of the Network, including IF, came together for the first time to celebrate this milestone and engage in two days of strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative planning.

The Network is a key component of the WHO Disability Health Equity Initiative, launched in June 2025 to advance health equity for persons with disabilities worldwide. As a new global platform, it unites stakeholders from governments, civil society, academia, international organisations, and organisations of persons with disabilities to foster more inclusive and equitable health systems.

IF is honoured to contribute the expertise, lived experiences, and global perspective of the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus community, ensuring that inclusive health policies and practices reflect the needs of all.
