Survey closed – COVID-19: Impact on people with SBH
IF thanks everyone who responded to its survey on COVID-19: Impact on people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus (SBH). The feedback received has been invaluable to IF’s continued effort to ensure that the rights and needs of people with SBH are heard and respected during times of crisis. The survey revealed how vital national and regional SBH organisations have been during the pandemic, keeping their members updated on relevant developments, liaising with experts to provide sound evidence based information for people with SBH and holding national and local governments accountable to their obligations.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused difficulties for everyone but it is clear that the effects have not been felt equally. Persons with disabilities must be able to trust that their governments will not sacrifice their rights and needs in times of crisis. In the coming months IF will continue to analyse the feedback from our members to strengthen the IF advocacy response to COVID-19. Although the survey itself has been closed IF is always looking for testimonials from people with SBH and their families, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with IF’s European Policy Officer Hildur Önnudóttir ( [email protected] ) if you have any further questions or comments.
A more comprehensive analysis of the results of the survey will be shared at a later date as well as updates on IF’s policy and advocacy work on the topic.
